"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me; I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me." Then the righteous will answer him, saying, "Lord, ……… when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?" And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." — Matthew 25:35-40
The Medical Ministry aims to embody the compassion that Jesus has shown to all people. Acts of love can lead individuals to Christ and reflect Jesus' love for them. The world is in great need of healthcare, and Jesus should guide us in this mission. Jesus said that whatever is done for one of His brothers is done for Him. Therefore, consider providing medical care is a vital part of the mission.
The world needs healing in every aspect. Alone, humans cannot achieve this, but with Jesus as our guide, we can. It is through collaboration that we can accomplish this mission. Myanmar, our country, is in particular need of compassion. This can also be a means of evangelism.
Evangelism in every possible way to introduce people to Christ is crucial for Myanmar. As an underdeveloped country, we face difficulties in many aspects of life. A medical project is one way to bring people closer to Christ or share about the Savior indirectly. Many people suffer from illness, such as fever, and cannot afford food or medicine, which leads to gradual deterioration without the knowledge of Christ.
Human beings have always been stubborn. When the Lord created the first humans, He intended for them to obey His command. However, due to their stubbornness, they disobeyed Him and were deceived by the serpent. They prioritized momentary attraction over eternal happiness. We may find it challenging to share the gospel with someone who seems stubborn or unlikely to accept Christ, but a small act of compassion or a token of love can sometimes lead them to tears and a decision to follow Christ. As the Lord sent His disciples into the world, He commanded them to be "wise as serpents and innocent as doves" (Matt 10:16). We are working among those who may not yet know Him.
We plan to offer medicine at low cost or open a small clinic. We could post Bible verses and gospel tracts on the walls, or keep them on shelves for people to read or take home. Everyone has health issues, and we are confident that this ministry can introduce people to Christ.
Therefore, this ministry is a proposed project, and we need your help to make it a reality. With your support, we believe we can do much more for God. We are committed to working hard and faithfully in love for lost souls.
Thank you, and may God bless you!
